discography

Here is a list of albums and singles released after Do As Infinity's reformation in 2008. For an older discography, you can check out wikipedia or any of the resources listed on the links page. Since the beginning of their career, they have always titled their album with the last letter of the previous album.

albums

  Eight (2011)

  1. Baby! Baby! Baby!
  2. Special
  3. 1/100
  4. Hand in Hand
  5. Wonderful Life
  6. Boku ga Egaiteta Boku
  1. Jidaishin
  2. Everything Will Be All Right
  3. Fly to Freedom
  4. Dear Memories
  5. 1176 Jikan
  6. Kimi ga Inai Mirai

Released on January 19, 2011, Eight reached #4 on the Oricon weekly charts. The DVD came with music videos and a documentary titled "Do As Infinity Live 2010". Compared to the reunion album, DAI was eager to explore a brighter sound. The band compared it to Aerosmith's style, which is heavy on rock but still contains a positive outlook. There are more songs with lyrics written by Tomiko and Ryo than in the previous album.

  Eternal Flame (2009)

  1. Eternal Flame
  2. Saigo no Game
  3. Perfect World
  4. Namonaki Kakumei
  5. Nighter
  6. Feelin the Light
  1. Meramera
  2. Piece of Your Heart
  3. Kitakaze
  4. His Hometown
  5. Hono
  6. Umareyuku Monotachi e

Released on September 30, 2009, Eternal Flame reached #9 on the Oricon weekly charts. The first pressing came with a bonus track of Tangerine Dream, the band's first single from 1999. DVD came with 3 music videos and a documentary called "Do As Tracks Until Revival". The band has stated that, since this is the long awaited reunion album, they had to be very careful and dramatic in its creation.

singles

  Jidaishin (2010)

  1. Jidaishin
  2. Jidaishin (Instrumental)

This was released to celebrate DAI's 11th anniversary. It was part of a special box set which included collectible towels. The song itself is an upbeat number with a hard electric guitar riff. It was performed at the summer A-Nation music festival.

  ∞2 (2010)

  1. 1/100
  2. Everything Will Be All Right
  3. Haruka
  4. Pile Driver

The promotional single for Eight. 1/100's lyrics were written by Ryo, Everything Will Be All Right's lyrics were written by Tomiko, and the other two are winners of the Do! Creative fan songwriter contest. My highest recommended single so far.

  Kimi ga Inai Mirai (2010)

  1. Kimi ga Inai Mirai
  2. Fukai Mori
  3. Shinjitsu no Uta
  4. Rakuen

Only Kimi ga Inai Mirai is a new track. All the other songs are Inuyasha theme songs DAI had performed in the past. Because the Inuyasha series is ending and DAI performed the ending theme, this is like a tribute to DAI's long history with the series.

  ∞1 (2009)

  1. Umareyuku Monotachi e
  2. Meramera
  3. Timeless
  4. Let's Get Together at A-Nation

The highly anticipated single for Eternal Flame. Umareyuku is classic DAI ballad. Meramera is a rough, rock song. Timeless sounds like it could be the op theme for a shonen anime. A-nation is an unusual electropop piece from the music festival.
